OpenCollab helps build mobile technology for North-West University (NWU) using Kuali Mobility Enterprise (KME) Framework

North-West University (NWU) relied on technology partner OpenCollab to deliver their NWU Mobile App, providing students and staff members on all three campuses with a unique set of mobile tools for administration, academics and information. NWU Mobile App is built on the Kuali Mobility for the Enterprise (KME) framework. It integrates with existing business systems to ensure the internal security of the app, as no data is duplicated if it already exists at another business source.

KME is a Kuali Mobility framework that leverages the best-of-breed open source mobile platforms that enable institutions to provide their constituents with a mobile web gateway to interact with public and/or securely authenticated services. KME is the packaging of that mobile platform based on HTML5, CSS and JavaScript. It uses the extensive work from other open source mobile projects like JQuery Mobile and PhoneGap. The Kuali Mobility framework enables mobile applications to be written, tested, packaged, and delivered to constituents through the mobile web or through an installable app for their particular mobile device via one of the application stores.

Visit or download the NWU Mobile App from the Apple or Google Play stores.
